Biography
I was born at home, in january of 1952. Within the hour, My Father, home for lunch, sat beside me on the couch with the body of a D-18 martin pressed against the blankets i was wrapped in... and played for me.Music from a guitar is quite literally the first sound in my life. By age 3, I had taken to a cheap little Gibson flat top, (which I eventually destroyed), tuned to E-cross tune and i used a pocket knife to bar the chords, while my fingers were too small. Along with the constant sounds of early chet Atkins, Merle Travis recordings and the AM radioblasting out the new sound of rock"n"roll, there were always wonderful guitars around, like a brand new 1954 Sratocaster,Really fastenated with that one. It sounded like sparkling diamonds...or maby it was the glitter sprinkeled into the light blue paint job on dad's home made, class A amplifier......built his own echoplex too. Gibson ES-350T, 1956 Gibson Byrdland prototype, Gibson J-200, Dad also built me a minature strat from scratch, pickups too and you guessed it , plugged into the light blue..uh....sparkletone amp. By age 6, I was tuning and re-tuning the Byrdland between E standard and E cross tune and passing the guitar back and forth with dad, with never a scratch.  My first audience was at age 7 when I was handed the Byrdland and asked to play and sing "Give my love to rose", by Johnny Cash, for a fairly large group of handycapped children. That was my first glimps into the power of music. Age 9, dad made a bass out of a cheap six string guitar, andtaught me some standards, we did some gigs together. I used that bass on my First recording at age 12, Song Titled: "Go A head and go", by The Bojax, still out there. Since then, there have been something like 25 years of being a travelingGuitar player.  Some of those years were spent doing 6 night, 50 week clubdates....Played in bands, who wereopening acts for many famous ppl.bands like, Hermans hermits, the Hollies, Muddy Waters, Blood rock, old Fleetwood mac, ZZtop, Allman Brothers,Steely Dan, Blue oister cult, Elvin Bishop, Gary Louis & the Playboys, John Hall, Forigner, Cheap trick, Leon Russle, Delbert Mclinton and Ray Charles.Because of that time on the road, I had become a person who looked out at a landscape of strangers....that is until I was Introuduced to these kind people at Mixposure
